I’ve been getting this yellow pop-up from my system tray every time my computer is restarted. It says that my Auto-Protect is disabled. When I right clicked on the Symantec Antivirus icon, it shows that Auto-Protect is enabled.

I’ve finally googled for a solution. Bravo, there is a link inside that tell me how to determine if my virus definition is corrupted. Cool !

I’ve then checked and get rid of the extra pair of definitions in my Symantec Shared folder and restarted the Symantec Antivirus service.

There are many feedback that this often happens after a System Restore which is true in my case. And the date of the extra definitions matches that of my restoration date.

Oh, I’m just glad that it is fixed now.
